A Licensed Professional Counselor, Chris Neal did his initial training in a BCIA Accredited program. His initial teachers were Cynthia Kerson, Ph. D. and one of the initial pioneers and developers of neurofeedback, Barry Sterman, Ph. D.Chris is pursuing Board Certification through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance, the primary accrediting board in the discipline. He is a member of the International Society for Neurofeedback & Research and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology.
Chris received his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy at Southern Nazarene University, and sees adults for individual and relationship psychotherapy in addition to his neurofeedback clients. Prior to his work as a psychotherapist and neurofeedback clinician, Chris was a university music professor for over 15 years. He holds a doctorate in Instrumental Conducting and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Oklahoma, and a Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from The University of Texas at Austin. His former students have gone on to be one full-time orchestral musicians, university faculty members, and Grammy Award winning recording artists. Whether in music rehearsal, psychotherapy session, or neurofeedback brain training, Chris has helped others reach their personal and performance goals for over 30 years.
